You Love Playing Roblox. Now Make Your Own Games!

Have you ever played an obby, tycoon, or hide-and-seek game on Roblox and thought, “I could build something even cooler”? Now you can! In our Roblox Game Design Summer Camp, you’ll learn how to use Roblox Studio to create your very own games.

We’ll start with drag-and-drop logic and simple scripts. By the end of camp, you’ll have a playable game you can share with friends and family.

What You’ll Learn & Create

Roblox Studio Basics

• Set up your first game world.
• Add spawn points, checkpoints, and timers.
• Use the toolbox to place fun models, such as trees, traps, ramps, and coins.

Build an Obby (Obstacle Course)

• Create a colorful obstacle course featuring moving platforms, lava, and jumps.
• Add checkpoints to prevent players from having to start over.
• Test and adjust the difficulty for fun gameplay.

Beginner Coding with Lua

• Learn basic coding logic.
• Program actions such as making parts disappear when touched, giving points, or teleporting players.
• Utilize pre-made scripts that can be customized to fit the game.

Playtesting & Feedback

• Play your friends’ games and provide constructive feedback.
• Fix bugs and incorporate new ideas.
• Understand what elements contribute to a fun gaming experience.
